Frequently asked questions

What is included in the tour fee?

When we are confident we understand your tour requirements, we will construct a basic itinerary and budget for your consideration, which will include entry fees, disbursements to speakers and farmers, hire of safety clothing and accompaniment by a local tour organiser.

Meals, accommodation and transport are covered in the quoted fee, at your request.

Can I send a tour scout to explore the itinerary?

Sending tour scout to explore the itinerary can be useful and reassuring before finalising your tour booking. We are happy to accommodate – and will ensure a local expert is available (at cost) to make suggestions and organise introductions.

When is payment required?

Once you are happy with the suggested itinerary we will lock it in (see our booking terms and conditions) upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 20 per cent of our quoted fee. When your tour proceeds, that deposit is subtracted from our charges, which are payable in full 20 business days prior to commencement of your tour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Are the tours designed to cater to all ages and abilities?

Our team is able to cater for a variety of groups, including technical specialists, generalist tour groups (such as seniors groups) and educational tours for high school, college and university groups. Should any member of your group have any special needs, please let us know and we can make appropriate arrangements to ensure a seamless experience for everyone.

What if I want to change the itinerary?

Your suggested itinerary can be amended once or twice at your request, without charge. Further amendments can be made for a negotiated price.
