About Agricultural Tours Riverina

Agricultural Tours Riverina (ATR) is a small, specialist provider of personalised and pre-planned regional learning experiences. The Riverina is one of the most productive and agriculturally diverse regions in Australia – our high-quality tours take in an interesting mix of local agricultural enterprises, and approaches and attitudes to farming, the environment and rural communities.

Why choose us

At ATR, our reliable and enthusiastic tour leaders have in-depth industry and local knowledge. We know the Riverina – most importantly, where the best farms and enterprises are. Our professional team delivers tour programs that cover rice, nuts, stone fruit, grapes, wineries, citrus, vegetables, juicing plants, agricultural engineering, water management, transport and logistics, cereal cropping, as well as sheep and cattle production throughout the Eastern states.

Our People

John Collins, Managing Director

John is an experienced communicator and manager with a broad network of high-level contacts across the agricultural industry in the Riverina. With a background in delivering educational products and services in previous roles, including the NSW Department of Primary Industries, John has a reputation for being meticulous in his approach to creating quality itineraries and programs.

A long-time agritourism advocate, John established Agricultural Tours Riverina (ATR) to provide a gateway for curious consumers to international researchers to learn more about food and fibre production in the Riverina – and share the innovative and specialised technological and agronomical techniques, and economic and social opportunities on offer in regional communities.

Friendly and reliable, John is the main point-of-contact at ATR and hosts many of the tours. But ATR is able to draw from a wide range of associates to advise or accompany you, depending upon your group’s aims and objectives.
