VISITS FROM INTERNATIONAL STUDY GROUPS CAN PROMOTE YOUR INDUSTRY, ESTABLISH USEFUL NETWORKS FOR SOURCING EMPLOYEES OR CONTACTS FOR YOUR OVERSEAS TRAVEL – AND OFTEN, BRING NEW IDEAS AND PERSPECTIVES TO YOUR OWN BUSINESS OPERATIONS.

Agricultural Tours Riverina (ATR) has been dedicated to the business of industry and educational travel to Australia since 2014.  As COVID restrictions ease it is receiving new enquiries for study tours of Australian rural industry.  Enquiries have come from universities, farmer groups and industry organisations.

Now that the COVID hiatus is over we are seeking to renew our list of producers in various industries willing to accept international visitors.  If you are placed on our list, you will be able to indicate the terms and conditions of visits and will always have the option of not accepting any particular tour group.

Agricultural Tours Riverina can supply visiting groups with any biosecurity and PPE equipment you require.   We can also arrange completion of any checks or declarations required.

If you are interested to host visits or would like to discuss possibilities please contact John Collins, Managing Director at Agricultural Tours Riverina at riverineagtours@gmail.com or at 0419 407 804.

John Collins was raised on a dairy and beef farm near Casino in the Richmond River Valley in NE NSW.  After a short teaching stint in Western NSW, he commenced teaching and researching rural sociology.  He left academia after 23 years to conduct a rural business consultancy (8 years) before accepting a managerial post with NSW Department of Primary Industries at Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture (Yanco) (10 years).  ATR was formed in 2014.  Prior to the COVID pandemic its major client base was North American, Brazilian, Japanese, European and Indian farmer groups/ universities/ government delegations.  International tours re-commenced in December 2022 with some Canadian farmers.

ATR utilises the expertise and professional networks of a range of experienced farmers, agronomists, economists, entomologists and researchers to construct technical and educational tour itineraries.  It maintains a range of insurance policies including Public Risk and Professional Indemnity policies. You may ask to see Certificates of Currency. As part of our own due diligence, we may ask to see evidence of your current public liability insurance before sending tour groups.
